Golden Oldies

If you're not sure whether you can still cope running around in the regular grades but are keen to play the occasional game ...

Canterbury Rugby have two Golden Oldies Teams ... The Elderberries and the Dangleberries ... the only eligibility rule being that you must be over 35.

Our home base is Skilled (formerly Wills) Ground and our teams comprise mostly of ex Canterbury Grade players or parents of our junior members. We're VERY social and welcome new players

The Cantabrians hold an annual Golden Oldies Gala Day (early March) at Skilled Ground and partake in several local events as well.

If you are interested in playing Golden Oldies rugby, enjoy a good joke while a scrum is being fed, the odd cold beer, bottle of wine, glass of rum or maybe even a glass of port before, during and after the game, then the Cantabrians are looking for you.
